SC Grants Bail To Chidambaram In INX Media Case
The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted bail to former Finance Minister P Chidambaram after almost three months in jail in the INX media money laundering case.

Chidambaram, who has spent 105 days in prison, is all set to come out of Tihar jail now.

The top court has restrained Chidambaram from giving interviews linked to the case and travelling abroad without the court permission.

The SC has also directed him to furnish a bail bond of Rs 2 lakh along with sureties of the same amount.

Though the SC noted that economic offences are grave offences, it further said that bail is the rule and jail is an exception.

Reacting to the SC verdict, Karti Chidambaram tweeted, "Phew. At last after 106 days :)"
