Once again the Centre vs State row has brewed as Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal overturned the Delhi government's order to reserve Delhi hospitals for residents.

The L-G made it clear that the Supreme Court had “invariably held in several successive judgments that ‘Right to Health’ is an integral part of ‘Right to Life’ under Article 21 of the Constitution”.

According to the new order of the L-G, now any person can get treatment in Delhi hospitals.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has retaliated against LG Anil Baijal. He accused the BJP of putting pressure on the L-G.

Mr Sisodia accused the BJP of putting pressure on Mr Baijal. “BJP-run state governments are busy with PPE kit scams and ventilator scams. Delhi government is trying to manage this disaster thoughtfully and honestly. BJP can’t accept this and that is why they are doing these cheap politics by putting pressure on the LG,” he tweeted.

CM Arvind Kejriwal is on the back foot after this decision. The CM said the L-G’s order has “created a major problem and challenge for Delhiites.”

Providing treatment during the Corona epidemic is a big challenge for people coming from all over the country. Perhaps it is God's will that we serve the people of the whole country.
