State-Wise Coronavirus Cases And Deaths In India
The number of coronavirus patients in the country keeps increasing. According to Health Ministry data at 8 a.m. on April 21, the total number of patients has reached 18,601 and the number of active patients stands at 14,759.

While 590 people have lost their lives so far, 3,251 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths (232) in the country has taken place in Maharashtra, where 4,666 cases have been reported and 572 people have recovered.

There have been 74 deaths in Madhya Pradesh. The total number of patients here is 1,485 and 127 patients have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 71 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus so far. Over here, the total number of patients is 1,939 and 131 people have been discharged as well.

In Delhi, 47 people have died. Over here, 2,081 cases have been reported and 431 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 25 people have lost their lives so far. While 205 patients have recovered, a total of 1,576 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

There have been 23 deaths in Telangana. Over here, a total of 873 cases have been reported and 190 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, 20 people have lost their lives so far. While 92 patients have recovered here, a total of 722 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 1,184 cases have been reported. While 18 people have died here, 140 patients have been discharged as well. 

There have been 17 deaths in Tamil Nadu. Over here, while a total of 1,520 cases have been reported, 457 patients have recovered as well. 

There have been 16 deaths each in Karnataka and Punjab. In Karnataka 408 cases and in Punjab 225 cases have been reported. In Karnataka 112 patients and in Punjab 38 patients have been discharged so far.

In West Bengal, 12 people have died. Over here, a total of 392 cases have been reported and 73 people have recovered.

There have been five deaths in Jammu and Kashmir. While 71 people have recovered here, the total number of patients stands at 368.

There have been three deaths each in Kerala and Haryana. In Kerala 408 and in Haryana 254 people have contracted the coronavirus. In Kerala 290 people and in Haryana 127 people have recovered so far.

There have been two deaths each in Bihar and Jharkhand so far. In Bihar 113 cases and in Jharkhand 46 cases have been reported. 

In Bihar, 42 patients have been discharged so far.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya due to the coronavirus. 

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is rising swiftly.
