Suspects in Hyderabad Rape-Murder Of Doctor Killed In Police Encounter
The police said they took the four men on Thursday night to recreate the crime scene where the victim’s body was found burned. Meanwhile, one of them tried to escape from the spot. All four were killed “in the crossfire,” the police said. The four suspects were Shiva, Naveen, Keshavulu and Mohammad Arif, who were handed over to police custody on Wednesday.
After the encounter, the victim’s father said that his daughter's soul must now be at peace.

Activists and politicians condemned the police for what they said appeared to be extrajudicial killings. But the officers’ actions drew praise from many quarters and from the victim's family.
Asha Devi, Nirbhaya's mother: I have been running from pillar to post for the last 7 years. I appeal to the justice system of this country and the government, that Nirbhaya's culprits must be hanged to death, at the earliest. https://t.co/VoT5iv2caf pic.twitter.com/5ICgJUYaNz— ANI (@ANI) December 6, 2019

Rape is an heinous crime. It must be dealt with strictly under the provisions of law. While I hold no brief for the alleged perpetrators of this dastardly act, “encounter” killings are a blot to our system. While I understand the urge for instant justice, this is not the way. https://t.co/BzVkLlSgYW— Karti P Chidambaram (@KartiPC) December 6, 2019
#WATCH Maneka Gandhi:Jo hua hai bohot bhayanak hua hai desh ke liye. You can't take law in your hands, they(accused) would've been hanged by Court anyhow. If you're going to shoot them before due process of law has been followed, then what's the point of having courts, law&police? pic.twitter.com/w3Fe2whr31— ANI (@ANI) December 6, 2019
This is not justice. This is the police breaking the law . It’s dangerous. The legal system exists for a reason. https://t.co/5aoSRTLt2I— Faye DSouza (@fayedsouza) December 6, 2019
For everyone who think it is fine to kill these 4 accused because THEY DESERVED IT let me tell you it is called Extra Judicial killing in the law book. And the police’s version that they were taken out and they tried to escape looks flimsy. This isn’t #JusticeForDisha— Stuti (@StuteeMishra) December 6, 2019
