इससे पहले रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा, ‘गलवान घाटी में सैनिकों की जान जाना बेहद दर्दनाक और परेशान करने वाला है. हमारे सैनिकों ने ड्यूटी के दौरान अदम्य साहस दिखाया और बलिदान दिया.’ उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि देश सैनिकों की बहादुरी और बलिदान को कभी नहीं भूलेगा. संकट की इस घड़ी में देश उनके साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर खड़ा हुआ है. हमें अपने सैनिकों की बहादुरी और साहस पर गर्व है.
इस बीच कांग्रेस की अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने कहा है कि संकट की इस घड़ी में पार्टी देश की सेना और सरकार के साथ एकजुट है. कांग्रेस पार्टी का विश्वास है कि दुश्मन से मुक़ाबला करने के लिए देश एकजुट रहेगा. हालांकि उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार से यह सवाल भी पूछा कि सीमाई इलाक़ों में हालात से निबटने के लिए सरकार की रणनीति क्या है.The Nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice.
