Unseasonal Snowfall Damages Apple Crop In Kashmir
The unexpected heavy snowfall in J&K's Pulwama & Shopian districts, which are famous for their apple orchards, has damaged up to 70% of apple crop in the valley. 

Electricity and water supply also remains shut in these areas due to the sudden and above-average snowfall in the month of November. Some people have also lost their lives in the snowfall. 


The Horticulture Department is engaged in finding out the extent of damage to crops. 

People in the Valley have been facing various restrictions ever since the special status of Jammu and Kashmir ended. Their businesses have been affected on a large scale and now, unseasonal snowfall has led to an increase in their difficulties.
