UP Board Class X & XII Exams Get Underway
The Uttar Pradesh Board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 get underway on Tuesday. This year, a total of 56,07,118 students will appear in the board exams, which will conclude on March 6.

The first paper of Class 10 is Hindi which will run from 8 am to 11.15 am (first shift) and Elementary Hindi paper of Class 12 will be held from 2 pm to 5.15 pm (second shift). This time students will get an extra fifteen minutes extra during the exam.


To prevent cheating, CCTV cameras and voice recorders have been installed at examination centers and answer sheets have been prepared in four colors. Stitched answer sheets have been sent to such districts where cheating is rampant.

On Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma inspected the Silver Jubilee College Examination Center in the capital Lucknow where he met the students and wished them the best for their exams.

For the first time, all the examination centres in the state have been linked together and monitoring has been made through webcasting from the control room set up in Lucknow.

A total of 30,22,607 students in Class 10 and 25,84,511 students in Class 12 will appear in the exam being held at 7,784 examination centres across the state.  The 10th examinations will run for 12 days and the 12th exams will last for 15 days.

The UP board has also launched the @upboardexam2020 Twitter handle through which students can get updates related to exams.
