UP: Rapid-Testing TruNet Machines To Be Installed
As the COVID-19 cases reach 11,610 in the country's largest state Uttar Pradesh, the CM has announced that Trunet machines would be installed in all 75 districts of the state by June 15. 

The UP government has now given emphasis to undertake ICMR approved pool testing to enable rapid testing for COVID-19.


While 321 deaths have occurred and there are 4,318 active cases. In the first ten days of Unlock 1.0, 3,535 new cases have been reported.

Agra tops with the highest number of 994 cases among the top five worst-affected districts in the State, followed by 746 cases in Noida, 560 in Kanpur Nagar, 538 in Ghaziabad and 482 in Lucknow.

Ten samples can be tested simultaneously in pool testing.

All ten people in the pool will be declared virus-free if their samples report negative.

Whereas, if the results throw up a positive then each sample will be examined separately.

Additional Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Avnish Awasthi said that 404,637 samples have been tested so far. Among these, the positivity rate was 2 percent.

There are 2,060 hotspots remaining in the state. Out of which 56.64 lakh people are in lockdown because of Containment Zones.
