UP: Six Farmers Killed In Road Mishap In Etawah
Despite the lockdown, horrific road accidents are happening in Uttar Pradesh. Now, six farmers were killed and one injured in a road accident in UP’s Etawah district on Tuesday night.
The farmers were going to sell jackfruits in the vegetable market when their pickup-truck collided with another speeding truck in the Friends Colony police station area on National Highway-2. In the pickup, the driver and a farmer were sitting in the front seats, while five farmers were in the back.
According to Etawah SP City R Singh, while five farmers died on the spot, one succumbed in the hospital. The injured have been admitted to Saifai Medical College. The state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of those killed. Watch the video story here:
