Australian Open Men's Final: Novak Djokovic Vs Dominic Thiem

The Australian Open men’s singles final match will be played between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Austria’s Dominic Thiem on Sunday. While this is the first time that Thiem has reached the Australian Open final, Djokovic has made it into the final for the eighth time.

Earlier, Djokovic had defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer and Thiem had beaten Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the Australian Open semi-finals.

Thirty-two-year-old Grand Slam champion Djokovic has been winning matches for the past 12 years and he has lost only three matches in the past 10 years. He has never lost an Australian Open final so far.

Thiem will have to put up a stellar show to defeat Djokovic in the final match. If Thiem manages to win the final, he will become the second Austrian ever to win a Grand Slam title.

The two have played 10 matches so far, out of which Djokovic has won six matches and Thiem has won four matches. However, Thiem defeated Djokovic in the last two matches played between them.
