Ageas Bowl in Southampton

However, the opening day of first England vs West Indies test turned out to be a rainy affair as light drizzle and bad light forced the umpires to call for stumps on Day 1 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Earlier, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bat first. Joe Denly and Rory Burns took England to 35 for 1 at Tea but play never resumed after that.

Shannon Gabriel had cleaned up England opener Sibley for a duck .
