India, Windies Face Off In First T20 On Friday
The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and the West Indies will be played at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday. Team India is currently in superb form.

In both the T20 and the one-day series, Virat Kohli will lead the Team India, while Kieron Pollard will be the Windies captain. Chris Gayle will not be a part of this series because he has taken a break from international cricket.

A look at statistics reveals that India is the stronger side against West Indies in T20 series. The two teams have played a total of 14 T20 matches as yet, among which India has won eight, West Indies has won five matches and one match remained inconclusive.

The West Indies’ T20 record in India is poor, as it has defeated Team India only once while playing in India in the past 10 years.

A total of four T20 matches have been played between the two teams in India, of which India has won three and West Indies, one. Apart from this, Team India has not been defeated even once by West Indies in the past two years.

The last T20 match between the two teams was played in August this year, which India won by seven wickets.

After the World Cup this year, Team India went to West Indies and defeated it on its home turf. Team India won the T20 series by 3-0 and the Test series by 2-0.

The second match of the T20 series will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on December 8 and the third match will be played in Mumbai on December 11.

After the T20 series, the one-day series will be played, which will begin from December 15.
