IPL 2022: Highlights| Royal Challengers Bangalore(
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 for the second consecutive win on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, defeating the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by four wickets.

In an elevated match, Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed hit match-winning smashes as RCB chased down a 170-run target. Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat, the RCB openers, got off to a strong start while chasing 170. RCB were 48-0 after 6 overs as du Plessis and Rawat each smashed four fours in the powerplay.

After RCB captain hit out to long-on, Yuzvendra Chahal, who came into the attack in the seventh over, broke the opening partnership. After losing three important wickets in the space of two overs, RCB lost track of the chase. Navdeep Saini's bowling first caught opener Rawat behind for 26. Virat Kohli was afterwards run out for 5 in the 9th over. Chahal misled David Willey with his following ball, breaking the woods to take his second wicket.

After Shahbaz Ahmed struck two sixes and a four in the 12th over, RCB scored 15 runs. RR, on the other hand, continued to attack with the ball, and Rutherford's innings was ended by a superb diving catch from Navdeep Saini. With his fantastic counter-attacking strokes, Dinesh Karthik, the next player in, altered the game's trajectory. In the 14th over, the right-handed batsman smashed three fours and a six against Ashwin. Saini's next over yielded 16 runs. Karthik's strokes were perfectly timed as he added two more fours to his total.

The duo's fifty partnership was up for grabs, and Shahbaz Ahmed performed a superb supporting role. Shahbaz Ahmed hit a four and a six against Boult before being picked up by the left-arm pacer with 28 needing off the last three overs. Dinesh Karthik finished the chase in style, undefeated on 44 off 23 deliveries, while Harshal Patel smashed the last six to lead RCB home.

The Rajasthan Royals, who were given the opportunity to bat first, did not modify their lineup from the previous game. Yashasvi Jaiswal, a left-handed batsman, was dismissed for 4 by David Willey, who struck the off-stump. With Padikkal and Buttler at the crease, RR played carefully, aided by some blazing speed bowling from the RCB pace bowlers, and were 35-1 after six overs. In the seventh over, Buttler was dropped twice, and the batsman took advantage of the situation by blasting his first maximum of the innings.

As the fifty partnership was up for the second wicket, Padikkal and Buttler each hit a six. Padikkal was knocked for 37 runs after a spectacular catch from Virat Kohli. After RR skipper Sanju Samson was caught and bowled in the 12th over, Hasaranga joined the party to grab a critical wicket of skipper. Shimron Hetmyer scored consecutive boundaries to set the team off to a good start, but Harshal Patel and Hasaranga delivered dot balls to keep the RCB momentum going.

RR were 107-3 after 16 overs when Hetmyer hit a six and added fours to the score. In the last over, Jos Buttler hit two consecutive sixes against Siraj to achieve his half-century. RR scored 23 runs in the last over when Buttler hit two sixes and Hetmyer hit the penultimate ball for a six, bringing their total to 169/3.
