Plan To Conduct ICC T20 World Cup 'Unrealistic': C

The ICC T20 World Cup 2020 is under threat due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cricket Australia Chairman Earl Eddings has said that it is very difficult to get this tournament done this year. The World Cup is scheduled to be held between October 18 and November 15 this year, but no decision has been taken yet about this tournament.

Earl Eddings said the tournament has not yet been officially postponed or canceled. 'We are trying to bring 16 countries to Australia, of which, cases of coronavirus are still increasing in most of the countries.' In such a situation, he said it is beyond reality or it is going to be very, very difficult.

In the last ICC meeting, the decision of the T20 World Cup was deferred till next month i.e. July. The ICC had expressed concern over the health of the players in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis and said that the board is constantly examining the situation so that a way to conduct a cricket tournament can be found keeping health and safety in mind.

Although it is difficult to organize the T20 World Cup this year following the statement of Cricket Australia chairman Earl Eddings, it is still to be decided.
