Portugal crush Lithuania 5-1
Vilnius (Lithunia)- Cristiano Ronaldo's four goals helped Portugal crush Lithuania 5-1 in Euro 2020 qualifying Group B match on Tuesday.
Ronaldo scored early in the first half and added three more in the second after the hosts had evened the match before halftime. It was Portugal's second consecutive qualifying victory after they had beaten Serbia 4-2 on Saturday.
These wins have vaulted them to second place in the Group B standings, five points behind leaders Ukraine with one game in hand. "I'm going through a good phase, but the team has been playing well too," Ronaldo said. "I'm enjoying this moment not only because of my goals, but also because of the team's performances in recent years. I just have to keep helping the team." Portugal's next match is at home against Luxembourg on October 11.
