Stage Set For First ODI Between India And Australi
After beating Sri Lanka on home turf by 2-0 in the T20 series, Team India will play a three-match one-day series against Australia from January 14. The first match of this series will be held in Mumbai.

Both teams are currently in superb form, with India being placed second and Australia ranked fourth in one-day rankings.


Team India will be led by Virat Kohli, while Aaron Finch will be captain of the Australian team. Also, Rohit Sharma will return to Team India for this series and he will be the vice-captain.

Figures reveal that Australia’s record of playing against India in one-day matches is quite good. Both teams have played a total of 137 one-day matches till now, out of which India has won 50 matches and Australia has won 77 matches, while 10 matches remained inconclusive.

The one-day series between India and Australia will begin on January 14 and the first match of the series will be played in Mumbai. The second match of the one-day series will be played in Rajkot on January 17 and the third and final match will be played in Bengaluru on January 19.

On its tour of India for a five-match one-day series last year, after suffering a loss of 0-2, Australia had made a comeback and won the series by 3-2.

A total of 11 one-day series have been played between the two countries till now, out of which Australia has won six and India has won five series.
