West Indies Beat Afghanistan By 7 Wickets In First ODI

Roston Chase shines both with bat and ball as he led West Indies to a 7-wicket victory over Afghanistan on Wednesday. The tall all-rounder first took two wickets with the ball and later scored a match-winning 94 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Put in to bat first by West Indies, Afghanistan were bowled out for 194 in the 46th over. The highlights of the Afghanistan innings was the 3rd wicket partnership of 111 runs between Rahmat Shah (61) and Wicket-keeper batsman Ikram Alikhil (58). 


In response, brilliant 163 runs partnership between Roston Chase (94) and Shai Hope (77*) helped West Indies to secure 1-0 lead in 3 match series.

The second ODI of the series will be played on Saturday, 9th November at the same venue.
