Theatres and malls have been shut for almost two months due to the lockdown, which is why filmmakers are deciding to release their films directly on digital platforms.
Gulabo Sitabo is an upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana as warring men. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film will not be released theatrically and will stream worldwide on Prime Video from 12 June 2020.
Ludo is another dark anthology comedy film directed by Anurag Basu. It is produced by Basu and Bhushan Kumar. It stars an ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Rohit Suresh Saraf.
Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of the South film Muni 2: Kanchana and stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani. It will make a digital release on Disney+Hotstar.
Jhund is an upcoming sports film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar, and Rinku Rajguru is directed by Nagraj Manjule. In the film, Bachchan plays a professor who motivates the street children to form a football team. It is rumored to release on Netflix.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced under Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The film features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, the first female and Indian woman airforce pilot in combat along with Srividya Rajan. It will see a digital release on Netflix.
Shakuntala Devi is a biopic of the famous woman called the 'human calculator', this Sanya Malhotra and Vidya Balan starrer will release on Amazon Prime Video.
Khaali Peeli is a romantic action film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Mehra. The film features Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday in main roles, with Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist and is said to be released on Netflix soon.
Mimi is a Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sai Tamhankar starrer film about a surrogate mother, which is a remake of the Marathi movie Mala Aai Vhhaychy! will be making a digital release on Disney+Hotstar. 
Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love is an Indian 2020 upcoming Hindi language romantic drama film directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by T-Series and Maddock Films. Featuring Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty, the film was announced on 16 May 2019 is also being slated for a digital release.
