Baghjan Oil Field Operating Sans Environmental Clearance At Time Of Blowout
Baghjan oil field and 26 other oil wells in Assam were operating without mandatory environmental clearances at the time of the blowout, a National Green Tribunal (NGT) Committee has found. The Committee formed by Justice Katakey to probe the May 27 blowout, followed by a fire, which continued for 160 days and left at least 4 people dead, submitted its report on November 3
