NASA Footage Sheds Light On A World In Meltdown
NASA Space Laser Missions have mapped 16 Years of ice sheet loss using the most advanced Earth-observing laser instrument. Loss of ice from Antarctica and Greenland has led to 14 mm of sea-level rise between 2003 and 2019. Greenland’s ice sheet lost an average of 200 gigatons of ice per year. For a perspective, one gigaton of ice is enough to fill 400,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools
