Three Billion Birds Vanish From North American Skies
U.S. and Canadian researchers report that three million birds (30% of the total bird population) have vanished from the continent since the 1970s.The research study looked at 529 bird species, about three-quarters of all species in North America, accounting for more than 90% of the entire bird population.
