The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has called for a nationwide strike on December 11 against the Centre’s decision of allowing Ayurveda doctors to perform surgeries. During the strike, all non-essential and non-COVID services from 6am to 6pm will be closed. However, emergency services, labour rooms, emergency surgeries and intensive care services will function but pre-scheduled operations will not be done.
