The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has claimed that convalescent plasma therapy is not beneficial against COVID-19 as it does not help reduce the risk of death in moderate and severe COVID-19 patients. Plasma therapy was seen as a glimmer of hope for people suffering from the virus infection. However, ICMR acknowledged that plasma therapy has shown little benefit. For example, there was some decrease in breathing problems and fatigue also decreased, but there was no effect on fever and cough.
