France Passes Bill To Protect 'Muslims From Extremists'
In a bid to tackle 'radical Islamism', France on Thursday passed a bill to rein in homeschooling and hate speech. French Prime Minister Jean Castex has said it is “not a text against religion, nor against the Muslim religion”, but against radical Islamism, whose objective, he said, is “to divide French people from one another.” However, critics say the law targets religions in the guise of tackling religious fundamentalism
