After the Taliban took over Afghanistan, a question mark has been raised on the security of India's investments there. According to the data, India has invested 3 billion dollars i.e. about 224 crore rupees in crisis-hit Afghanistan since 2001.

Apart from the new parliamentary building built with the help of India, these include 400 projects related to infrastructure, human resource development and capacity building, humanitarian assistance and community development.
