A vast amount of fuel is leaking from a Japanese bulk carrier off Mauritius. The ship had some 4,000 tonnes of fuel when it ran aground. At least 1,000 tonnes of oil is thought to have leaked into surrounding waters. Mauritius PM has declared emergency as fuel gush threatens environmental crisis. Ecologists fear the ship could break up, which would cause even greater risk
