President Ram Nath Kovind accepted Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur's resignation given in protest of the passing of two bills related to farmers in the Lok Sabha. The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce Bill, 2020, the Farmers Price Assurance, and the Agreements Bill 2020 on voting were passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. But before the bill was passed, Kaur resigned from the cabinet. Although no statement has come from the JJP at present, one thing is clear that after the resignation of Harsimrat Kaur, there is mounting pressure on Dushyant Chautala to raise his voice against the bills.
