The Congress-led government in Rajasthan has decided to ban the sale of firecrackers and fireworks during Diwali. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the sale of firecrackers, fireworks will be banned in the entire state to protect the health of COVID-infected patients and the general public from the toxic smoke emanating from firecrackers. CM Gehlot also said that strict action will be taken against smoke-emitting vehicles, running without fitness. Gehlot also said that in these challenging times of an epidemic, due to the smoke emanating from fireworks, COVID-19 patients as well as heart and respiratory patients will have to suffer
