Ashish Mishra Gets Bail In Lakhimpur Kheri Case

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court granted bail to Ashish Mishra,son of union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra, in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case on Thursday 10th Feb.


Ashish was named as the main accused in the violence that took place in Tikunia area of Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3rd, 2021.He was arrested on October 9th and his bail plea was moved further to Allahabad High Court after his plea was rejected by the lower court.
Lakhimpur Kheri case put tensions between Yogi Adityanath and center in spotlight. While U.P. formed SIT to probe PM Modi unmoved on expelling MoS (Home) Ajay Mishra Teni from cabinet.


Political opposition reacted strongly against Mishra’s bail by High Court. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also slams the UP government by saying that this government is trying to save the man who crushed the protesters under his wheels. All those who were harmed were forgotten but the father behind all this still stans on stage infront of the people. 


On October 3, 2021, a convoy of three SUVs, including a Thar owned by Ajay Mishra, ran over a group of farmers assembled at the Tikonia crossing to show black flags to Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who was scheduled to visit Ajay Mishra’ village, Baveerpur, for an event. The farmers were allegedly protesting over a purported video clip where the Union MoS is heard openly threatening to drag the protesting farmers out of the state.Four farmers and a journalist died and several others were injured
