The fire which has taken a terrible form in the western states of America has so far claimed at least 15 lives. Seven more bodies were found on Thursday in California, which is included in the largest state, after which the total number of deaths in the state has increased to 10. At least five people have been killed in the neighbouring states of Oregon and Washington. Oregon Governor Kate Brown said that she has never seen such a huge fire in the state. Fanned by unusually hot and dry winds, fires are raging across 12 western US states. According to the National Interagency Fire Center, as of Thursday, more than 100 sites in 12 western states scorched more than 4.3 lakh acres, which is about 7,000 square miles or roughly equivalent to New Jersey
