The Center has declared 18 people as terrorists in terms of internal security under the amended UAPA act. As per the latest order, Center has also declared Yusuf Azhar, a relative of Masood Azhar, a terrorist under the UAPA law in the 1999 Kandahar plane hijacking case. After an air strike by the Indian Air Force in Balakot, Pakistan last year, TV media claimed that Yusuf Azhar was also killed in this attack, while Vijay Gokhale, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, did not mention Yusuf's death in his statement
