Harish Rawat, the Congress general secretary, has shared a video on social media purporting to show one person at an army centre checking and signing multiple postal voting forms.

Rawat stated on Tuesday that he shared the footage on Twitter and Facebook "For everyone's benefit, I'm sharing a quick clip. It depicts a man ticking and signing many voting papers at an army centre. Will this be brought to the attention of the Election Commission?"

Surendra Kumar, Rawat's spokesman, refused to reveal the source of the video when asked about it, but said it was from Uttarakhand.

The party has not yet filed an official complaint with the Election Commission, but it can take action on its own, he said.
