Death Penalty For Sexual Crimes More Than Before In India
Since 2016, there has been a steady increase in the death penalty for sexual crimes. From 17.64% in 2016, the figure jumped to 64.93% in 2019, a rise of about 47% in the death penalty in the last five years in terms of sexual offences, per an annual study on death penalty in India by Project 39A
