62 people have died in three cities of Punjab due to drinking poisonous liquor, including 23 in Tarn Taran, 11 in Amritsar and 9 in Batala. While one person lost his eyesight. The police have also arrested nine people making illegal liquor, including a woman named Balwinder. During the investigation, five teams raided 40 places of the three cities. In this case, an SIT has also been formed, which will investigate all the cases. The SHO of the Tarsikka police station has also been suspended.
