Govt. Celebrating Constitution Day In Parliament And Vigyan Bhawan

Constitution Day is being celebrated on 26th November since 2015 when it was first notified by the Union Ministry of Social Justice. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice president Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also be addressing the celebrations in Parliament and Vigyan Bhawan.

PM Modi remembered Dr. Bhimarao Ambedkar, popularly known as “Babasaheb” on this day which is also known as “Law Day” since Dr. Ambedkar was the country’s first Law Minister and the main writer of the Constitution heading the Drafting Committee. The Constitution is the longest written constitution of the world and was completed in approximately 2 years, 11 months, and 17 days

Modi also lay the foundation of the Statue of Equality memorial dedicated to Dr. Ambedkar.
