Despite the improvement in the situation of corona virus infection and the start of economic activities in the country, there has been a decline in the GST collection in the month of August. The Finance Ministry has said that in the month of August, GST of Rs 1.12 lakh crore has been collected. If we look at the figures, the current GST collection is about 4 percent less than the previous month.

In such a situation, the Finance Ministry has said that the GST collection is 14 percent more than the same period last year, but even after two years this GST collection is disappointing. For example, if we talk about the month of August in the financial year 2019-20, then the Finance Ministry had a GST collection of 98,000 crores.
