'Harsimrat Kaur Badal's Resignation Mere Tokenism To Save Akali Dal's Political Future'
Calling it an act of tokenism, senior Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa said that Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from her post to save Akali Dal's political future and it had nothing to do with farmers' concerns. "Till this week the Shiromani Akali Dal leaders have held press conferences fully supporting the Modi govt. It is clear from their stance that this is nothing more than a gimmick that the people of Punjab will see-through," he said. Bajwa added that if it wasn't for coronavirus, lakhs of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Western UP, and Himachal Pradesh would have been on the streets protesting against the Modi Govt's 'anti-farmer' bills.
