The Kerala Legislative Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution against the Centre’s decision to hand over Thiruvananthapuram international Airport to Adani Enterprises, urging the Modi Govt to revoke its decision. Vijayan said that on August 19, his govt had informed PM Modi that the airport is being handed over to the private company despite opposition from the state. Therefore, no cooperation should be expected from the state. The state's main opposition party Congress though supported the proposal, attacked the Vijayan government. It said that on one hand, Vijayan govt is opposing handing over the airport to Adani Enterprises, on the other hand, is seeking consultancy from a law firm in which the Adani family has a stake.
