Bhagwant Mann, elected on an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket from Dhuri, Punjab after previously serving as a two-time MP from Sangrur in the state, takes oath as the 17th chief minister of the state. He has chosen the birthplace of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, the village Khatkar Kallan, and has themed the ceremony with his signature colour of yellow, as he has been identified with his yellow turban. He declared that he will take the oah along with '3 crore people of Punjab' and invited the public to his swearing-in ceremony.
