Today in Lucknow, UP, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra released a letter written to PM Modi who is conducting a DGP conference with senior police officials in Lucknow today. Reading the letter aloud to the press, and brought up the “Lakhimpur Farmers Genocide” referring to the incident in Lakhimpur Kheri district, UP, wherein four farmers were run over deliberately by an SUV.

She reiterated that the investigation was not fair and the Uttar Pradesh government had tried to “suppress the voice of justice” through its investigation. She said that the prime accused is the son of a Minister of State in the Modi Cabinet.

Demands Expulsion Of Ajay Mishra Teni

She cited that Supreme Court which commented that it looks like the government is working with a view to protect certain individuals in the case. Gandhi said that she has met the family members of the victims and they have no hope for justice until the said Minister remains in his post, and the present state of the investigation proves them right.

Modi’s appearance in the conference with Ajay Mishra Teni, the MoS whose son is the prime accused in running over farmers and even firing at them according to some reports would defeat the cause of justice, she said.

Give Financial Assistance To Families, Withdraw Cases

Priyanka Gandhi ended her letter by demanding that the Prime Minister financial assistance to the family members of the slain farmers, and withdraw the cases that have slaped on them for being part of protests.
