Calling the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) draft a disaster, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday stepped up his attack on the Centre, saying it must be withdrawn to stop "environmental destruction". Gandhi urges people to oppose the draft, alleging that the aim of EIA 2020 draft was clear- "loot of the nation". A day earlier he had said the draft provisions are "dangerous" and if notified, the long term consequences will be "catastrophic".
