SC Considering Early Release Of Detainees In Assam Detention Centers
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Court is considering the early release of detainees at Assam's detention centers who have been confined for more than two years. The Apex court is also deliberating on releasing them on personal bond with one surety in a bid to avoid overcrowding in either jails or detention centres. Sidharth Pandey reports
