Slovenia Declares An End To Its COVID-19 Pandemic
Slovenia became the first European country to call an end to its COVID-19 pandemic. The country had imposed a lockdown on March 15 and two months later, it has lifted many restrictions and brought the infections under control. Only 35 new cases were found in the last 14 days and one death was registered, while total cases are at 1,465 and deaths at 103, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
However, despite being COVID-19 free, citizens have been asked to wear masks in public places for the next few months. People are also advised to observe physical distancing, along with keeping their hands sanitised.
