According to the National Crime Records Bureau data, in 2019, there were 1,339 blind murders reported across the country, in which no clue/motive was known by the police and the murderer remained outside the ambit of the law. Last year, a total of 29,918 murders were registered across the country, and the motive in most of the cases was ‘property dispute’, ‘domestic dispute’ and ‘personal vendetta or enmity’.
