Sheikh Hasina, Prime minister of Bangladesh, has acknowledged the recent vandalizatio of a Durag Puja pandal in the country, and has said that al communities and their religions are equal in her country, assuring strict action against the "mischievous elements" that aim to disrupt harmony among people, and caled the incident "extremely unfortunate". Inda's MEA has also expressed concern about the incident.
