The Gautam Buddha Nagar Administration has publicly posted the names of the district's top 10 defaulting builders on the walls of the DM office. Incomplete projects continue to be a nightmare for homebuyers who have invested their life's savings into these stalled projects.

The Supreme Court has recently ordered the demolition of two unauthorized towers in the Supetech Emerald Court premises in Sector 93. This decision came after a 9 year court battle between builders and homeowners, mainly led by senior citizens. At a time when thousands of people are awaiting possession of their homes from builders who owe money to the government, the district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar has posted a list of pending payments along with the name of the builders outside the District Magistrate’s office.
