Congress Launches 'Speak Up India' Campaign, Asks Centre To Open Its Coffers For Needy
The Congress party on Thursday launched the ‘Speak Up India’ campaign to draw public support for the people suffering due to the coronavirus induced lockdown and asked the central government to unlock its coffers for the needy. Apart from party president Sonia Gandhi who suggested direct cash transfer to migrants and poor families and financial relief to MSMEs, senior leader P. Chidambaram, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also put out various suggestions via video messages on the party's social media platforms. Ajay Jha reports
