Today, the Uttar Pradesh Congress State Wing (UP PCC) was held by unit chief Ajay Kumar Lallu, MLA from Tamkuhi Raj constituency in Kushinagar, and Aradhana Mishra, MLA from Rampur Khas of Pratapgarh district.

The Congress will celebrate “Constitution Day” On 26^th November, and the party will launch a membership drive on the date, for which it has sent a target of 1 crore new members. All party unit coordinators will be asked to bring in at elast 25 new members to the party.  Lallu said that the party will organize “Bhim charcha (discussion)” and dinners in villages and localities to commemorate Constitution Day or National Law Day and honour the memory of Dr. Bhim rao Abedkar, the ‘founder’ of the Constitution.

The membership drive will be carried out on all administrative levels, i.e., Gram Panchayat, Block, and Zila (district) levels. The Congress will also look to strengthen its women membership and carry forward the slogan of “Ladki Hu, Lad Sakti hu” (I Am A Girl, I Can Fight) under the aegis of General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, as said by Aradhana Mishra.
