India recorded 2,68,833 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, with 402 deaths taking the total number of fatalities to 485,752. Active cases at present are 14,17,820 and are 3.85% of the total cases. 6,041 cases of the Omicron variant have also been detected thus far. 

The recovery rate is 94.83% and 1,22,684 people were discharged since yesterday. 58.02 lakh doses of the coronavirus vaccine were administered yesterday, and the country’s total of vaccines administered is more than 156.02 crore. 14,14,347 first doses and 29,79,087 second doses, along with 4,30,158 precaution or booster doses, have been administered in 24 hours.

 16,13,740 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, and 70.07 crore tests conducted until date.
