Statistics so far suggest that coronavirus in India has gripped the states of the Hindi belt, but the situation in the northeastern states is not yet catastrophic. Four states of the northeast, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim, have not reported a single death from coronavirus. At the same time, no deaths have been recorded in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
